The American fashion brand, Guess was created by the Moroccan-born and French-raised brothers Armand, Georges, paul and Maurice Mariano. In 1977, the brothers moved to California to launch a business using the money provided by the owner of Jordache Jeans. They launched "the marilyn: Guess's first jeans, a stone-washed jeans featuring a distinctive zippers at the ankle. It was the designer's trend of the late 70's that continued until the early 80's. In 1980's guess watches and men's jeans was added to their line of business. In 1990, the first Guess fragrance, " Original" was a women's perfume launched together with Revlon's partnership. From 2003-2009 Parlux held the fragrance license in conjunction with coty when guess started to create fragrance for men and women.
