Jean Patou is a designer born in Normandy, France. He was able to hone his talent even he was still young as he worked for his uncle's fur business. He decided to move in Paris in 1912, where he opened his fashion dressmaking atelier, Maison Parry. When the World War I began, he sold his entire wardrobe collection to an American in 1914. Since then, his career was disrupted as he needed to serve as a military captain at Darnadelle front during 1915. After the war has ended in 1919, he reopened his boutique named after him. He also started to launch his first fragrances which were Amour Amour dedicated to brunettes, Que Sais-Je for blonds and Adieu Sagesse for the red-haired women. Then in 1925, he created his most famous fragrance, JOY. A brand that is a true expert when it comes to timeless, classic and stunning fragrances.
